CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project)
Summary
CDP, formerly Carbon Disclosure Project, was established as an international non-profit organization in 2000 and built information disclosure platform of environmental performance data related to climate change, water security and forest in collaboration with investors.
Every year, CDP sends questionnaires on climate change, water security and forest respectively to high-impact sample companies, analyzes/evaluates these answers and publish the results on its website. Investors utilize the results for engagement with companies, investment process and risk management.
As for the CDP questionnaire on climate change after 2018, it has been updated according to TCFD’s recommendations on climate-related financial disclosure. The main change is to add questions related to climate-related scenario analysis in business strategy.
