Project Outline

This project seeks to reduce the vulnerability and food insecurity of the rural human population caused by climate risks and threats in the vulnerable extreme northern regions of Kavango West, Kavango East, and Zambezi, while increasing the adaptive capacity, well-being, and resilience of vulnerable small-scale farming communities in crop production landscapes.

  1. Operationalization of Mashare Climate Resilient Agriculture Centre of Excellence (MCRACE).
  2. Capacity building and production technologies strengthened for small-scale horticultural farmers (SSHF) and small-scale farmers (SSF).
  3. Establishment of crop insurance scheme.
  4. Installation of solar water pumps.
